Coordinate Geometry Calculator

Enter two coordinate points and get a full set of analytic geometry values — distance, slope, angle of inclination, midpoint, line equation (slope-intercept and standard form) and the y-intercept. Ideal for algebra, geometry and pre-calculus.

Enter two points

Point 1 (x₁, y₁)
Point 2 (x₂, y₂)

Enter two points, then press Analyse.

Formulas used

Distance: d = √((x₂ − x₁)² + (y₂ − y₁)²)

Slope: m = (y₂ − y₁) / (x₂ − x₁)

Midpoint: M = ((x₁ + x₂)/2, (y₁ + y₂)/2)

Line (slope-intercept): y = mx + b, b = y₁ − m·x₁

Line (standard form): Ax + By = C

Frequently asked questions

The distance and slope are undefined (division by zero in slope). The calculator will return only the midpoint (which equals the point itself).

From y = mx + b, rearrange: mx − y = −b. Multiply through to clear fractions to get integer coefficients when possible. The result is Ax + By = C.
