Privacy Policy
Daily Calculator is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what data the site does and does not handle, and how you can control the small amount of data it stores in your browser.
Last updated: 1 January 2026.
1. Summary in plain English
- You do not need to create an account to use Daily Calculator.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details to use any calculator.
- Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your web browser. They are not transmitted to a server for calculation.
- We do not run advertising networks or cross-site trackers.
- Your browser may store small preferences (such as your recent calculators and colour-scheme choice) locally. You can clear these at any time.
2. No account or personal data
Daily Calculator does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information to use its calculators. There is no user profile, no newsletter subscription and no payment system. We therefore do not collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers or payment details.
If you voluntarily contact us using the details on the contact page, we will receive the content of your message. This is the only situation in which the site receives information directly from you, and it is only because you chose to send it.
3. Where calculations happen
All calculator calculations are executed in JavaScript running inside your browser. When you enter a value into a field (for example, a loan amount or a height in centimetres) and click a calculate button:
- The value stays on your device.
- The formula is evaluated locally by your browser.
- The result is displayed on the same page.
No HTTP request is made to transmit your inputs. This means the same privacy standard applies whether you are using a public computer or your own device.
4. Local browser storage
To improve usability, Daily Calculator may store small amounts of information
in your browser's localStorage. All keys are namespaced with the
prefix dc: and never leave your device.
dc:recently-used— a short list of calculators you have recently visited, so the homepage can show quick links to them.dc:theme-preference— your choice of light, dark or automatic colour scheme.
You can remove this data at any time by:
- Clicking the Clear link next to the "Recently used" section on the homepage.
- Clearing site data in your browser settings (typically under "Privacy" or "Site data").
- Using a private or incognito window, which discards local storage when the window is closed.
If your browser does not support or has disabled local storage, the site still works — it simply will not remember your recent calculators or theme choice.
5. Cookies
Daily Calculator does not set advertising cookies and does not use cookies for cross-site tracking. The site is fully functional without cookies. If a hosting or CDN provider used to serve the site sets a strictly necessary cookie for security or load-balancing purposes, it is not used to identify you personally.
6. Third-party services
We do not embed third-party advertising, social media widgets, comment systems or third-party analytics scripts on calculator pages. This means your calculator inputs are not visible to any advertising or analytics company.
If you follow a link from Daily Calculator to another website, that website's own privacy policy will apply. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.
7. Hosting and server logs
The site is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may keep short-lived technical logs that record things such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and response status. These logs:
- Are used to operate, secure and improve the hosting platform.
- Are not used by Daily Calculator to identify individual visitors.
- Are governed by the hosting provider's own privacy policy.
Daily Calculator does not maintain its own server-side visitor database.
8. Optional analytics
Any analytics on Daily Calculator are privacy-first and disabled by default. If a site operator chooses to enable them, they are configured to:
- Not collect personally identifying information.
- Not set advertising identifiers.
- Not track users across unrelated websites.
Even when enabled, calculator inputs are never included in analytics data.
9. Children's privacy
Daily Calculator does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the site does not require an account and does not ask for personal data to use its calculators, it can be used by students and children without creating a user profile. Parents or guardians who believe their child has sent us personal information via the contact form may ask us to delete it using the contact details below.
10. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information through the calculators, there is typically no personal data for us to disclose, correct, port or delete. If you have sent us a message via the contact form and would like it removed, please write to us and we will delete it from our inbox.
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, under GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example, if a new third-party service is introduced — the updated policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Daily Calculator after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Contact
Questions about this privacy policy can be sent using the contact page, or by emailing hello@daily-calculator.pages.dev.
